After the inspection, we will advise you about the process of filing a claim as we work regularly with most major insurance companies.

In a word, Yes. All insurance policies carry a deductible that is the responsibility of the homeowner. That amount may or may not be due at the time of service depending on the insurance carrier.

Initially, water extraction is performed when necessary. Based on the type and extent of the water loss and remediation process, some flooring, trim or other items may need to be removed. For certain losses such as raw sewage steam cleaning of the affected areas and anti bacteria treatment will be necessary. Air movers and dehumidifiers are then placed to facilitate drying.

Typically the drying process will take 3 to 5 days.

Every effort will be made to save as much as possible. We regularly box and pack contents and personal items to remove them from the affected area. We also move furniture. Items that are damaged by the water loss are to be reported to your insurance carrier.

Without proper drying, the greatest threat to your dwelling is potential mold growth. There are numerous species of mold ranging in color from white to black including green, grey, red, rust, brown, yellow and various other shades. Some species are innocuous while others can be lethal based on the quantity and mode of ingestion. The elderly, children and those with allergies and respiratory issues are most at risk for ailments. The basic elements for mold growth are an area that is moist, dark and has an organic food source such as wood or paper. Because it takes the same environment to grow both the toxic and non toxic species all mold is treated as potentially harmful. Simply put DO NOT IGNORE MOLD.
